Building on the knowledge learned in WC I & II, this course begins with describing the services of the National Council on Compensation Insurance. You will then learn about the parts of the body and injuries to them that are frequently encountered in claims, their diagnosis and treatment. We will state how to obtain and analyze medical files, the privacy laws, and how to arrange for an independent medical examination.
The last two modules concentrate on how to investigate complicated and serious injury claims. These modules demonstrate the investigation and evaluation of coverage, compensability under the statutes, accident causation, correct preservation of evidence, and the confirmation of medical care and disability.
