This two module course will introduce the student to subrogation as it relates to the auto liability claim. In the first module, the meaning of subrogation and its key benefits are identified as well as types of subrogation, general theories of liability, and the elements of negligence liability. In the second module, the various state negligence laws are discussed, as well as basic steps for conducting a subrogation investigation, determining what method to use to pursue subrogation, an explanation of intercompany arbitration, and the components of arbitration contentions.
